The Hammar H20 is a hydrostatic release unit designed to fit liferafts of all shapes and sizes. It is made of fiberglass reinforced nylon, preventing corrosion. The Hammar H20 requires no service, maintenance, or annual spare parts. Simply install a new one every two years and dispose of the old one. With the environment in mind, the used unit is 97% recyclable. The Hammar H20's durable white rope is attached to the deck or liferaft cradle and secured to the liferaft with a sliding hook. When the ship sinks, the water pressure within 4 meters triggers the blade to cut the rope, allowing the liferaft to float freely. As the ship sinks, the liferaft line stretches and the raft begins to inflate.
