Acid batteries: Batteries that require maintenance, being the most popular and frequent in the market. Within this type of batteries, we have 2 uses: (A) Starting (red), and service or equipment, the main differences between these two types of batteries are that starting ones allow up to 6 large discharges (cycles) and from this point they start to degrade the plates and their capacity is progressively reduced. It is also important to always keep them adequately charged and not let them sit unused for a long period. (B) Service (yellow), they allow up to 600 discharges (cycles) and are recommended to power equipment on the vessel without load (refrigerators, lights, etc.) Technology: Lead, acid with liquid electrolyte with Ca/Ca alloy, with caps for gas release. 90A
