The Alpha Compact alternators have been optimized to provide a consistently high output for energy storage applications. Combined with our Alpha Pro charge controllers, they offer a powerful plug-and-play charging solution. This combination is suitable for all battery types, including lithium-ion batteries.

These alternators, designed specifically for automotive applications, offer numerous advantages. Most manufacturers provide the option of a second alternator, better known as a PTO or Power Take-Off. An Alpha Compact can be used as a second alternator without major issues. Alternatively, the existing alternator can be replaced with an Alpha Compact, providing a powerful, MasterBus-compatible, 3-stage charger.

High-performance plug & play alternators

Compared to conventional alternators, the Alpha Compact is characterized by its lighter weight, smaller dimensions, and reduced fuel consumption. This is made possible by its open design with dual internal fans. The operating temperature is monitored by an integrated temperature sensor.

Models

The Alpha Compact series comprises seven models in both 12V and 24V versions. Models with the suffix "VP" are perfectly suited for Volvo Penta engines. Accesories

The Alpha Compact 14/200 and Alpha Compact VP models come standard with a multi-groove pulley. Other Alpha Compact models do not have a pulley. Mastervolt offers a complete range of multi-groove pulleys.
