The onboard systems typically consist of two or more batteries that operate independently when powering the 12 or 24 V appliances. These batteries require independent charging using reliable battery isolators or battery combination devices.

Battery isolating diodes for conventional systems with an alternator or battery charger and two or three batteries

Mastervolt's BI battery isolators are based on conventional diode technology. The voltage drop across the diode (approximately 0.6 V) can be compensated for by adjusting the output voltage of the connected battery charger or generator. Mastervolt Mass battery chargers and Alpha Pro charge controllers are equipped with automatic voltage drop compensation as standard.

Compact and lightweight

Mastervolt BI battery isolators are compact and made of a completely solid material, thus preventing wear and tear. They weigh between 580 and 1300 grams.

Robust and durable

Completely corrosion-resistant material with an aluminum heat sink. The electronic components are encased in plastic; diode splitters are used in the case of the BI models.

Quick installation

The composite end plates are equipped with connecting cable lugs; solid screw connections with nuts and locking rings guarantee easy installation.
