Secondary batteries are becoming increasingly common. Since a second battery can prevent the main battery from becoming so discharged that it can no longer start the vehicle, it appears to be a safe and reliable solution.

However, the second battery also needs to be charged regularly. The Charge Mate series connects both batteries during charging and keeps them separated during discharge.

The Charge Mate 1202 and the Charge Mate 2502 are particularly suitable for small systems.
